To be more spesific, what search criteria you would like to utilize? Apparently this is connected to tags that you posted earlier.
Depending on pack authors and their knowledge of the game's terminology, pack names, rank (and potentially tags) can be very arbitrary and unuseful to others. I think this problem should be addressed in a separate post. I can make it after some comment exchange with you here.
Some potential solutions: make tags and/or rank fundamental search parameters instead of the pack name. This means that while uploading, the author has to provide a tag and a rank. The website should automatically retrieve the pack's original name meaning that the upload process itself should not contain providing a separate name because this would be useless compared to tags and rank information. There already exists many codes that retrieve pack details such as Custom Training Statistics (when opening the stats overlay panel). I don't claim that this code could apply to situations where the game is not running but I hope so. I'm just saying that providing a name is not very helpful compared to more structured details such as rank. This doesn't mean that name should not be used while performing searches. Maybe a name is particularly unique or fun to be more memorable and hence being useful for searching. I just claim that 99% of the time rank or tags would be more useful in searches.
Tags and ranks have still their own problems. Namely ranks can be inaccurate or one tag can have several duplicates. Potential solution would be to provide a fixed tag listing and three special tags called "wrong tag", "inaccurate rank" and "community verified". Other users (or users with appropriate privileges) could label packs as having a wrong tag or inaccurate rank. The website would have a dedicated section for corrections and verification where users could vote for corrections or verification. After a correction process the pack could get a community verified tag.

I mean I think the random pack suggestion really could be split into two different (but potentially related) things.
1. The ability to get a random pack from a list (if/when user lists get implemented)
and
2. The ability to get a random pack from a search
Both, ultimately, rely on further development of the underlying structure of Prejump to be valuable. 1 requires lists/routines to be in place, but I think would make routines a lot more useful because you could inject variety into them. 2 requires more robust search tools. Specifically, an advanced search that can apply multiple filters over some structured data like tags, rank, author, popularity, date of posting, maybe number of shots, map, etc. Because of the way Psyonix implemented training packs, programmatically analyzing the packs themselves isn't really feasible I don't believe, so for the moment we're reliant on user-submitted (but potentially curated) data for that kind of stuff. I totally agree it needs to be moderated/curated but, isn't that always the way?

I agree with your ideas regarding advanced search. Search by author and by date is especially useful because one author is normally interested to create training packs to self and reflecting the current skill level.
I totally agree it needs to be moderated/curated but, isn't that always the way?
Sure. There are many ways the site could draw visiting time one being the user curated activities. I'm not sure if this should be the main target. I'm personally waiting to see activites concerning single shots. There are two main ways of doing this: users could post their own video that contain a shot from a training pack. Other way is to use screenshots that contain past session data from Custom Training Statistics. Posting own achievements isn't very useful to others but it could generate a competitive element to the site which in turn could draw more users to the community. I personally like more the idea that users are supposed to post a video about one shot rather than the whole training pack because it's much easier to compare videos from other users if these videos are short. Obviously people have limited time so they can either watch one long video or ten short videos.

Especially in combination with the existing search tools (doubly so if they could be applied to your personal favorite packs), it might be really handy if Prejump could give you a random (or pseudorandom, you get me) pack that meets certain criteria.
Could be useful for finding new packs, or to create a more unpredictable/variable training regimen.
